HANGLAR IS BACK!

What a lovely few days we have had with some lovely sunshine and its only February!  Today I took Seren to her nannie and grandad's as at my mom's Methodist Chapel there was a model train and art show on.  Seren was loving all the Hornby style steam locomotives as she occasionally watches Thomas The Tank Engine!  We then enjoyed some sandwiches and cake before heading back to my mom and dad's.

I have a few birthday's coming up in March and so have had to make some extra cards.  I used the lovely sketch over on this weeks Sunday Sketch and Stamp and have used one of my neglected Hanglar images as the Lovely Haenglar Only Challenge is back up and running with a theme of Anything Goes.

I coloured my Hanglar image in with promarkers and cut out with my oval nestie.  The cardstock is Sage Shadow from Stampin Up and the dp is a selection from Memory Box Minuet paper collection.  The light aqua roses are from wildorchidcrafts and the darker roses are Prima mini roses.  I used ribbon from my stash and a sentiment from Forever Friends Pink Parfait die cut message tags mounted onto a punched out extra-large modern label from Stampin Up.  Greeny adhesive gems from Treasures by Shabby Chic.

WINTER WISHES AT CCWS!

Well Seren's back at school and so I have some peace and quiet to craft lol!  After school Seren is going to her dance class then after tea she is off to a swimming club which she joined last Monday.  Hopefully her dad will be taking her swimming so not to much rushing around for me!

I have made my next creation for  Christmas Challenges (with sketches) who also have a GDT call so I will be putting in for that too.

The image I have used is from LOTV called Icy Angel which I have coloured in with Promarkers and added Sakura Clear Star pen and Crystal Ice Ice Stickles to her wings and snow effect.  The cardstock used (which sadly I've now used up) is Pretty In Pink from Stampin Up.  Designer paper is a selection from Papermania Mistletoe Kisses.  Flowers are punched out using my Nellie Snellen Poinsettia punches.  The sentiment is also LOTV which came with the same stamp I used.  Adhesive gems and ribbon from my stash which the bow was tied using my Bow-Easy.

CANARY LOVE

Well what a week its been so far with all the snow we had on Saturday afternoon.  Now we have had the dreaded ice this morning and according to weather reports more snow is forcast later this week up to an inch!!

Anway its an excuse to make some more cards.  I have made the following using the theme over on Saturated Canary which is Red, Pink and White and used the lovely sketch over on Totally Gorguss.

I have used a free download which was available on Saturated Canary recently called Canary Love and coloured in using my promarkers.  The cardstock used are both from Stampin Up called Pretty In Pink and Real Red.  The dp is the same double sided sheet from Making Memories Love Notes as is the sentiment which is a Rub-On, punched out with my SU oval punch and pieced onto an SU scallop oval.  The flowers are from wildorchidcrafts, ribbon is from Celebrate and the heart adhesives are from Hobbycraft.

SUGAR BOWL - paper piecing

I couldn't believe that I had won one of the surprise candies on the latest Puppy Love blog hop over on Sugar Bowl.  I was so delighted to have won Lead The Way which I decided to use for the latest challenge over on the Sugar Bowl which you have to use Paper Piecing on your project.  Its also my best friend's birthday very soon and as she is having a Cockerpoo puppy in the next few weeks thought this image would work great on her card.

I used promarkers on the non paper pieced sections and used papers from Stampin Up called Sunny Garden which I adore.  The cardstock and ribbon used are also from SU called Daffodil Delight.  I created the flowers by layering 2 sizes of die cuts from Marianne Design and added a punched out circle to the centres and adding a yellow flat backed pearl to the centres.  The sentiment is from Forever Friends Pink Parfait which has been placed onto a Extra-Large Modern Punched label from SU.  To create the bow I used my Bow-Easy and added more flat backed pearls to the top corners.

OH BOY!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Seren was off school on Friday due to teacher training so took her and her best friend to the pictures to see A Monster in Paris - I couldn't stop singing the main tune from it all weekend lol!

I don't usually make many male cards but as its my dad's birthday on March 1st thought I would give the challenge over on this weeks Lili's Little Fairies Challenge a go which has a theme of Oh Boy (a masculine card)

I have used Dad's The Word and coloured him in with promarkers.  Cardstock used is Rich Regals Ballet Blue from Stampin Up and the dp are a selection from DCWV All About Boys Stack.  The sentiment is from craftworkcards, small corner circles punched out with a hole punch with added tiny blue gems in the centres.  Have kept it quite plain as its a male card and don't think that ribbons and flowers are their thing lol!

CCWS - challenge 18

What a really miserable Tuesday.  Got soaked doing the school run but my cup of tea and bowl of porridge soon warmed me up.

I have used the lovely sketch over on Christmas Challenges (with sketches) for my creation.  I used my LOTV stamp which I think is called Festive Fairy, coloured her in with promarkers, added Holly Stickles to her scarf and used Crystal Ice Stickles for the snow effect.  All the dp is a selection from Dovecraft Noel Premium Paper Pad and the cardstock are some of the reverse sheets.  The poinsietta flowers were punched out with my Nellie Snellen punches and added small gold brads to the centres from my stash.  Ribbon is Always Artichoke from Stampin Up.  The sentiment is from craftworkcards pieced onto an oval and scallop oval punched out using my SU punches.  Red gems from my stash.
