PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE 42 - Think Spring

I used one of my latest stamp purchases called 'Nap Time', coloured it in with distressed inks, cut out with my Labels One Nestability and mounted with sticky pads onto another cut out from the same Nestability set.  The paper used for this is from the DCWV Spring Glitter Stack.  The pink spotty backing paper is the reverse of this paper.  The plain yellow paper is from Papermania called Diagonal Dots which is also Double sided.  The ribbon I had from the craft show at the NEC from craftyribbons.com.  The flower is made up with a pink pansy type flower from my stash and a yellow pansy type flower from Papermania Silk Flowers.  The brad is also Papermania pastel as well as the flower gems.

TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS CHALLENGE 3 - ADD SOMETHING SHINY

My 4 year old daughter Seren has been off Nursery today as she is not very well - hopefully just a 24 hour bug.  I managed to get this card done as she has been asleep most the day (just hope she gets some sleep tonight!).  For this card I decided to use my latest stamp addition Flowers by Sugar Nellie and coloured her in with Promarkers for a change.  I used some pink and blue papers from the DCWV Glitter Spring Stack and used my Woodcare edge cutter on the blue paper.  To represent some of the shiny element required I used some shiny red card from my stash and cut out a smaller curved rectangle with my Nesties.  The circle is cut from paper from K & Co Recycled Remake Berry Pinks Mat Pad.  The flowers I had in a RAK from Colleen.  I used some Papermania glittery mini brads for the flower centres.  The ribbon is from Hobbycraft. I computer generated the sentiment to make it more personal for my nan who is now in a nursing home.  Since February she has virtually lost half her weight weighing now 9 stone and has to have pure oxygen as she has lung cancer.  She is a very frail old lady now but still think of her as she used to be before.  My nan was the person who first inspired me to make cards as she used to make all her cards herself.

SATURDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 43

This is the very first time I have used a stamped image from H&S and was sent in a RAK from Lynn.  Today the weather is quite dull and rainy so picture quality isn't that good.  I have made the card for my God-daughter who will be 2 over the Easter weekend.  I coloured her in using distressed inks, mounted her onto lilac card and stuck with sticky pads.  The pattered papers are from The English Paper Company called Get Groovy.  The plain purple card is from my stash.  I used silver stick on letterings from Anita's and the number 2 is from Craftime Dress It Up range called Tiny School.

SATURDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 42

I have used a Magnolia Stamp which I purchased from the Hobbycraft Show NEC.  I coloured her in with distressed inks, cut out with my square Nesties, distressed around the outside of stamped image also with distressed ink and mounted with sticky pads.

The flower backing paper was yet another purchase from the NEC but unfortunately it hasn't got a name.  The patterned blue paper is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack and the plain card is from my stash.  I used my Fiskars daisy border punch on this to give it a scalloped effect and used sticky blue gems from Papermania.  The flowers are from Cuddly Buddly and the brads also from Papermania.

WHIFF OF JOY CHALLENGE 22 - GREEN

I used one of my favourite stamped images for this challenge called Willow with Sunhat which I used a masking technique to add the fall grass on it.  I coloured it in with distressed inks and mounted with sticky pads.

The large piece of backing paper is from the DCWV 2009 Spring Glitter Stack and the other papers are from Stampin' Up which I won from Emma.  The yellow piece I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder called Swiss Dots which I purchased at a reduced price at the Hobbycraft Show NEC. The ribbon I also had from the show from craftyribbons. I used green gems from my stash.  The flowers I had in a RAK from Linda (I've got loads of these in different colours in my RAK so they will be used in most of my projects) and I used some mini brads from Papermania for the centres.

A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE 43 - GEMS

The ribbon I had from Hobbycraft, the flowers were in a RAK from Linda, the gems are from my stash.  The sentiment is an Alota stamp.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE 20 - That Fuzzy Feeling

I had this image sent to me along with some other High Hopes stamped images from my friend Lynn.  I don't know what her name is but think she's lovely.  I coloured her in using distressed inks and mounted her with sticky pads onto backing papers from DCWV Spring Stack.  Instead of colouring the flower I cut out some pink felt to fit the flower shape and raided my 4 year old daughters' craft bag and found a yellow foam oval which I cut to size and used as the centre of the flower.  I placed black pen dots on the yellow centre.  The ribbon is from my stash.

ABC CHALLENGE - C is for Child

This is my first challenge of the year for the ABC challenge and with my friend Vicky's eldest boys' 3rd birthday I would have no problem.  I used a stamped image by Sugar Nellie - Hamish mending Tractor and coloured with distressed inks mounted using sticky pads.  The backing card I had off Ebay last year (sorry don't know what stack it was from).  The number 3 was cut out on my Big Shot using Cuttlebug number dies.  I cut out a circle made with my Stampin' Up circle cutter and stamped a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly onto it.
