JUST MAGNOLIA WEEK 11 - Bev's Sketch

What a lovely sketch to work with.  Today I received a new Magnolia image from the Pet Collection sent to me by my friend Lynn.  I am having some trouble with Paypal as someone tried to access my account and now I am waiting to have my account verified so as I'm now stuck and can't order craft items so  Lynn has cheered me up.

The backing paper I used is the same double sided sheet from My Mind's Eye called Bloom and Grow, the spotty paper is from Stampin' Up and the scalloped circle card is from Silly Monkey's both cut out with my nesties.  I coloured the image in with distressed inks, cut her out and mounted her with sticky pads.  The flowers are from Handmade Art and the sentiment is also Magnolia.

WHIFF OF JOY CHALLENGE 36 - sketch by Heather

What a fantastic sketch by Heather for this weeks challenge and as I have been away on holiday for a week thought this would be a great start for me back into my card making.

I used one of the summer kit stamps for my image and coloured her in with my copics.  I cut her out using my square nesties and mounted onto pink card from my stash with sticky pads.  For the scalloped edge I used embossed polka dot card from Silly Monkey's and cut it out with my Stampin' Up scallop edge punch.  The papers are also from Stampin' Up.  The flowers are called Funky Flowers from the Papermania Elements range, the ribbon is from American Crafts called Valentine, the sticky gems are from Embellish The Way You Want and the sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy Summer Kit.

AWAY FOR A HOLIDAY!

I'm away from 20th June until 27th June so no creations whilst I'm away.  I'm off to Cornwall camping hopefully in the glorious sunshine.  We are going to a site which is right on the edge of a private beach which is ideal for my 4 year old daughter and DH who is taking his kayak.

Hopefully I will be able to browse a few blogs whilst away - thats if I'm not too busy sunning myself!

Copic Creations meets Sketch Saturday

This is the first time I have ever combined one of my creations so here goes.  I have used it for challenge 5 over at Copic Creations which was to create colour on clear/transparent things and I also used it for sketch 54 created by Mandy over on Sketch Saturday.

I used my latest Magnolia image Tilda in the Sea, coloured her with my copics, cut out and used my Xcut corner punch, mounted her on pink card from kimemories called True Love and mounted with sticky pads.  The card used for the triangle corners and the sentiment was also the same dp.  The main dp is from Stampin' Up called Sweet Always.  The flowers and ribbon are both from my stash, the spacer is from Poppycrafts, the pearl brads are Papermania, the stick on gems are Embellish The Way You Want and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS DT BLOG HOP --Summer Notes!!

I really enjoyed following the tuturial for this little bag box and post it note cover.  To cover both items I used a sheet of double sided dp paper from DCWV Spring Glitter Stack.  I then used my scalloped circle nestie to cut out 2 circles - 1 from embossed polka dot card from Silly Monkey's and the other from paper out of DCWV Citrus Stack.

I used one of my sitting Tilda stamps and coloured her in with my copics, cut out and mounted with sticky pads.  The flower on both items are Prima Daisy Dreams, the blue sticky ribbon is from Anita's Art Stamps and the orange ribbon for the handle is from my stash.

ABC CHALLENGE - R is for Roses

What a lovely challenge this is.  I used my Tilda with Roses stamp from the Chasing Butterflies collection and coloured her in using my copics.  I then distressed with Tattered Rose distressed ink and used my Stampin' Up scalloped edge cutter to cut her out.

The dp is from the Papermania Signature Range called Blueberry Hill, the ribbon is from my stash and the pink roses I bought from Gardenlands (not sure who makes them).  For a bit of glimmer I painted some Shimmerz Blingz Pixie Dust onto the Tilda roses.

SKETCH SATURDAY SKETCH 53 - Birthday Sketch

The Sketch Saturday Challenge blog are celebrating their 1st Birthday and so have created this brilliant sketch to follow.

The image I have used is from the new Whiff of Joy Summer Kit and is coloured in using my Copics.  I then cut her out and mounted her with sticky pads to shapes cut out using Nesties.  For the plain oval I borrowed some oval Nesties from Vicky and the scalloped Nestie is my own.  The circle blue dp is from Blossoms and Butterflies Paper Stack and the yellow paper is cut from 12x12 dp called Diagonal Spots from Papermania.  For the fancy strip I used my scallop edge cutter from Stampin' Up, the sentiment is from Magnolia, the gems are Papermania and the flowers were sent to me by Samantha.
