WOJ CHALLENGE 49 - Recipe

I came back from a fantastic relaxing week in Spain on Saturday and thought I would get straight to work on some challenges - this being my first one this week! The WoJ challenge this week is to use 6 brads, 2 flowers and 3 design papers and this is what I came up with.

I used Lizzie with Muff and coloured her in with copics, cut out and punched the corners with a corner punch left to me by my late nan. The dp I used are all from Imaginisce called Polar Expressions - the brown dp is called Frosted Forest and is on the reverse of the red written dp, the spotty dp is called Sugar Sprinkles. All the dp have the corners punched out with the same corner punch and all mounted on plain brown paper from my stash.

The flowers I have used I layered up and are from Prima. The brads are from my stash and the brown leaves were given to me in a RAK from my friend Lynn.

WOJ CHALLENGE 48 - Heather's sketch

This sketch challenge is being used to select an entry to be on the DT for October. I have used one of my stamps from the Summer collection, coloured her in with copics and cut out the edges with my Martha Stewart punch. I used several dp which are from my stash. The embossed polka dot card is from Silly Monkeys. The ribbon I received in a kit from Scrapagogo. The flowers are a mixture of Papermania and Prima. The spacers, button and brads are also from my stash. I used punched out leaves sent to me by Lynn in a RAK. The pink dew drops were also in another RAK I received.

This will be my last posting this week as off to Spain on Saturday for a week. Looking forward to continuing on my return.

JUST MAGNOLIA WEEK 21 - Mina's sketch

I really enjoyed making this card as today my daughter started school full time so have some lovely peace and quiet to concentrate more on my creations. I'm looking forward to seeing her later though so we can chat about what she thinks of school and what activities she has done.

I chose a Magnolia stamp from the Fall kit and sat her on a rolling pin also included in the kit and coloured her in with copics. I then cut her out with my labels 4 Nestablitie and mounted with sticky pads. All the dp I had sent to me in a RAK so don't know what its called including the white centre card which I shaped with a border punch from Fiskars. The pink embossed polka dot card is from Silly Monkey's. The flowers are Prima Daisy Crazy, the button is from my stash, the sentiment was cut out with my scalloped oval punch from SU and the pink gems are from Hobbycraft.

These are some pictures of my daughter Seren on her 1st day of school.

This will be Seren's first day full time so she has taken a packed lunch for dinner which she will do every day. Seren was really happy when we were getting ready and also she sang lovely on the walk to school. I was really pleased that I left her smiling even though I must say I did have a lump in my throat and had to fight the tears back, but all in all I was ok knowing I was leaving her happy with her friends. Gosh its so quiet in the house but at least I can get some serious housework done now!
