SEREN'S BIRTHDAY

Yesterday (27th) was my birthday and an old friend of mine took me out for my birthday meal which was very thoughtful of him.  Seren was with me for most of Xmas Day which we visited my parents for a yummy Xmas Day turkey dinner.  My brother, his wife and 3 children were there too so we all had a fantastic time.  Later on during the day Seren's dad picked her up to spend the rest of Xmas Day with him and won't be back until New Year's Day - which is also her 8th birthday!  I've just spoken to her and she hasnt been well since Boxing Day with sickness and high temperature but she says she feels alot better than she was.

I have made her birthday card for New Year's Day following the lovely sketch over on Sketch Saturday.

I have used one of the gorgous stamps from Lily of The Valley and coloured her in with pro markers and cut out with my plain oval nestie.  The dp is a selection from Dovecraft Princess Fairytale paper pack and the cardstock is Regal Rose from SU.  The ribbon and adhesive gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from a selection of rubber stamp fairy sayings.

I'd love to take this opportunity in wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

I have followed the lovely sketch over on Christmas Challenges (with sketches) for this card.  I have used one of my adorable Lily Of The Valley Xmas stamps and coloured her in with promarkers and Stickles.  The cardstock is Old Olive and Real Red both from Stampin Up.  The dp is a selection from Back To Basics Christmas.  Sentiment from Lily Of The Valley and ribbon from my stash with a bow tied with my bow-easy.  The poinsettias are from Hobbycraft.

MASKED TILDA'S

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I went out for a lovely meal to celebrate my brother and his wifes 10th wedding anniversary then had a drive through Cannock Chase where me and Seren spotted a Doe and her Fawn!

I have made yet another Christmas card following the lovely sketch over on christmas challenge (with sketches) which also has a twist of using 2 stamps and masking them!

I have used 2 magnolia stamps Angel Tilda and Tilda as Lucia, masked them using my Stamp-a-ma-jig from Stampin Up ( I would never give this up for the world) and then coloured them using my promarkers and gold glitter for detail.  The cardstock is Old Olive as is the ribbon and the dp is a selection from Jolly Holiday Designer Paper Series all available from Stampin Up.  The sentiment is from craftworkcards mounted onto an oval punched out with my SU oval punch, the snowflakes were punched out using my Martha Stewart punch and the green gems are from my stash.

SANTAS LITTLE HELPER

Well its back to school for Seren on Wednesday so hopefully I'll be able to get some more cards made for some challenges!  I got Seren her new school shoes on Friday which she actually grown half a shoe size since October last year!!

On Saturday we both had our hair done at my hairdressers for a charity party my brother and his wife were hosting as part of their 10th Wedding Anniversary celebrations.  My sister-in-law has suffered with cancer so decided to raise funds for the ward she has been on which they raised £800.00 on the night and more fund raising is planned for the future to boost that money.  The theme of the night was Glitz and Glamour so a good excuse for us ladies to get spruced up with fancy hair and dresses.  Here's Seren's hair from the back, Seren on the red carpet and a pic of both of us :-)

Okay so back to my crafting which I have made yet another Christmas card following the lovely sketch over on this weeks Christmas Challenge (with sketches).  I was really pleased to have won the previous sketch challenge and now to decide what to purchase with my voucher :-)

I have used Santa's Little Helper which I haven't used for ages.  I coloured her in with promarkers and added pink stickles to her hat.  I cut her out with my circular nestie and pieced onto a scallop circle.  The cardstock used is Regal Rose from Stampin Up and the dp is a selection from Papermania Mistletoe Kisses.  I used white webbing, added flowers punched out with my Nelly Snellen Poinsietta punch, added white punched fern and pink gems from my stash. Sentiment is from Lili Of The Valley.

I'm also entering this into challenge 172 on Just Magnolia which is Pretty in Pink,  challenge 132 on I Love Promarkers which is Anything Goes and Pennyblack At Allsorts which is Early Christmas Makes.

Just a quick post to show a card I made for my mom and dad's wedding anniversary.  They celebrated their 43rd anniversary on Thursday which they spent the day in Llandudno.  The photo of them was what I took last Saturday as we all went to Portmeirion for the day.

BLUE AND WHITE TILDA

Its been a rather quiet week for me this week as Seren has been away with her Daddy to Barmouth.  Seren will be back with me Bank Holiday Monday then I have a week off with her which we are planning to visit a zoo and also get some school shoes sorted out.

I have made use of my quiet time creating another Christmas card following the lovely sketch over on Christmas Challenges (with sketches) which has a theme of Blue, White and Snowflakes.

TILDA AS LUCIA

Sorry I still haven't been around much but what with the main school holidays and work its been quite hard to find some time to myself to get any crafting done!!

I am on my own this week as Seren has gone to Barmouth with her daddy in his uncle's caravan so fingers crossed the weather stays nice for her.  I am off for a week next week so hopefully I can get Seren's new school shoes and also do some daytrips as been promising Seren we would go to the zoo sometime if the weather was nice!!

Anyway thought I'd better get my skates on with yet another Christmas card and followed the lovely sketch over on Christmas Challenges (with sketches) this week.

I'M STILL HERE!!!

Thought I would just add a post to say I haven't gone awol lol!  Just haven't got my mind focused on making cards at the moment - have totally lost my mojo and feel that if I have a break I will come back to the land of card making again!!  Also finding it hard to put my mind to anything at the moment as I also need to get my hall painting finished but even finding that is hard to get started let alone finished lol!  I'm in the process of making a couple of cards for Seren's teachers and hopefully I will be posting them on here but doubt that they will be entered into any challenges!!

Hope to be back on track real soon

JOLLY HOLIDAY HANGLAR

What a lovely week we have had - lets hope it continues now for the next few weeks especially with the Golden Jubilee week coming up very soon.

Seren finally returned back to school on Thursday after catching chicken pox but thankfully she only had it very mild.  Friday the parents were asked if they would come into school and help their child make a treasure box for the child's  theme of Islands as apparently the children had decided there were treasure boxes on the islands :-)

Anyway back to my card.  I have followed the lovely sketch over on Christmas Challenges (with sketches) which also had an extra theme of Bingo.  I chose to use a charm, lace and pearls.

I have used one of my Hanglar stamps and coloured her in with promarkers adding Holly Stickles to her hat.  The cardstock is Old Olive and the dp is a selection from Jolly Holiday Designer Paper Series all from Stampin Up.  Ribbon from my stash, large pearl brads from Whiff of Joy and pearl brad in flower centre from my stash as is the snowflake charm.  The poinsietta flower is made up of 2 flower shapes from craftworkcards as is the sentiment which has been layered onto an oval punched out with my SU punch.

ELLA WITH WAND

Sorry not been around for seems like ages but did post a card 2 weeks ago on here!  I just can't find any motivation anymore to make cards - even thought about selling all my stash!!

On Wednesday Seren came home from school showing signs of chicken pox which is all I needed so I have had to have the rest of this week off and next week booked as a holiday!  Luckily Seren doesnt seem to bothered with it as the spots seem to be mild and most have started to scab over but knowing my luck more will appear lol!  Her daddy was suppose to be having her this weekend but has had to keep away from her as he has never had chicken pox plus he works doing maintenance in nursing homes so his doctor advised it wasn't advisable to be in contact with her until the spots have gone past the infectious side!

Anyway I did manage to get a card done (although a Christmas card) following the sketch over on Christmas Challenge (with sketches).

I have used a stamp from Wild Rose Studio called Ella with Wand and coloured her in with promarkers, sakura pen on the star and pink glitter.  The dp used is from DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas and the cardstock is Stampin Up Pink Passion.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, flowers punched out with my Nellie Snellen poinsietta punch and pink gems from my stash.

ANGEL TILDA

Hello peeps yes I'm still around as it seems I havent made a card for a challenge in ages.  I've seemed to lost my mojo at the moment but am hoping it will find its way back to me asap.  My dad is on the mend and is looking alot better after his operation.  I have been taking my mom and dad food shopping on Saturdays which is a bit of exercise and change of scenery for my dad.  Seren went away for 2 weeks at Easter to the Bahamas with her Daddy to see her Uncle, Auntie and 2 cousins which was a good excuse to get my hall, stairs and landing painted as having new carpet on the stairs and landing in a few weeks time!

Over on Christmas Challenges (with Sketches) they are holding a DT call so I have made my next card for that.

I have used one of favourite Tilda stamps called Angel Tilda and coloured her in with promarkers and gold glitter on her wings and halo.  I cut her out using one of my circular nesties.  The dp used is a selection from Magnolia and the cardstock and ribbon is Real Red from Stampin Up.  The sentiment is from The Snowman Christmas Sentiments set, red adhesive gems from Hobbycraft and roses from wildorchidcrafts.

BIRTHDAY AND CHRISTMAS!!

Can't believe how the weather has got colder compared to the beautiful weather we had last week!!  I'm off to Southport on Friday till Sunday with my boyfriend which he well deserves the break as he has been working very hard as late as he is self-employed!!  Also Seren is off to the Bahamas with her Daddy to see her Uncle, Auntie and 2 cousins for 2 weeks on Friday so I have booked the day off work Thursday to get her clothes sorted and also take my Westie Timmy on his break at my parents house.  My dad was allowed to leave hospital last Wednesday (even though he had his quadrupel bypass the Monday before) as they needed the bed!  I visited him on Saturday which he looked pale still and has still not got much appetite for eating and tired with the medication but after what he's had done its not surprising.

Anyway I've got 2 cards for you today - Christmas Challenges (with sketches) is themed White on White with a coloured image and Papertake Weekly Challenge 66 has a lovely sketch to follow.  I have made the second card for my God-daughter Isobel whose birthday it is next Tuesday.

I have used Bear with Star from Lili of The Valley and coloured in with promarkers,  gold Sakura glitter pen for the star and Crystal Ice Ice Stickles on the hat.  Cardstock is Whisper White from Stampin Up which I also used for the punched snowflakes using my Martha Stewart punch.  For the dp I embossed 2 types of design onto plain white cardstock with my Spellbinders embossing folders.  Ribbon from my stash, sentiment from The Snowman sentiment set and pearls from my stash.

I used one of my stamps from Lili of The Valley and coloured in with promarkers.  Cardstock is Regal Rose from Stampin Up as is the ribbon.  I used Butterflies and Patchwork dp from Nitwit Collections Essentials Butterfly Kisses.  I used my bow-easy for the bow and added pink pearls from Kaisercraft.

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEDDY

What gorgeous weather we have had the last week - lets just hope it lasts through out the weekend.

An update on my dad.  He had a quadruple bypass on Monday and Tuesday he was able to get out of bed into a chair to stop any clotting occuring!  Progress to being 100% will be slow but eventually he will get and hopefully feel better for it.

I have made the above card for one of my friends whose birthday is very soon.  I have used a stamp from Lily of The Valley which I haven't used in ages and coloured in with copics and Sakura Stardust pink and yellow glitter gel pen for the butterflies.  The dp used is what I have left over from  Stampin Up Sweet Always paper pack and used SU Regal Rose cardstock and ribbon.  The sentiment is in a set which I purchased from a friend of mine who was selling some of her crafting stash (not sure what it is called).  The butterfly was from a set called Flying Butterflies and the pink gems from my stash.

I am entering this into Angie's sketch on Sketch and Stash and have used the theme of Spots and Stripes over on Totally Gorjuss.

A CHRISTMAS WISH JUST FOR YOU and DAD UPDATE

Some update on my dad - he was allowed to come home last Monday just in case he catches another hospital virus and then hopefully have his heart bypass Monday coming.  He is doing ok but the medication he is on whilst at home is making him very tired.  I am taking Seren to see him tomorrow as she hasn't seen him for 4 weeks and all being well I will be taking him to the Heart and Lung Centre in Wolverhampton for his operation.

I know its only March but I want to get ahead with my Christmas cards so what a better challenge to follow but the Christmas Cards (with Sketches) challenge.

I have used one of my old Magnolia stamps (sorry don't know her name) and coloured her in with promarkers.  Cardstock and ribbon used are all from Stampin Up called Real Red and Always Artichoke.  The dp is a selection from Magnolia Ink.  I used my Nellie Snellen Poinsietta punches for the flowers and added red brads to the centres.  Sentiment is from The Snowman sentiment collection and fancy doily from my stash.

MOTHER'S DAY!

Sorry for not being around much but my dad has been in hospital for a 3rd week after being admitted with a heart attack and is now awaiting a transfer to another hospital where they have a Heart and Lung Centre to receive a heart bypass.  He also had a virus which stopped visitors to his ward for nearly a week.  My mom has visited him every day and evening and hopefully I will be visiting him on Saturday which will be the first time I've seen him since being admitted - what with his virus, me working or having Seren!

Anyway with Mother's Day approaching I have made the following creation for my mom.

I have used one of my neglected Magnolia Tilda stamps (sorry don't know her name) and coloured her in with promarkers.  The cardstock used is from Stampin Up called Pink Passion and the dp is a selection from Tilda Flowergarden Paper Pad.  The sentiment I found in my stamp box which has been punched out with an oval punch and mounted onto a scallop oval both from SU.  Ribbon and pink gems from my stash.  Flowers from wildorchidcrafts.

I am entering this into Sunday Sketch and Stamp, I Love Promarkers which is Anything Goes and My Mum's Craft Shop which is Mum's The Word.

HANGLAR IS BACK!

What a lovely few days we have had with some lovely sunshine and its only February!  Today I took Seren to her nannie and grandad's as at my mom's Methodist Chapel there was a model train and art show on.  Seren was loving all the Hornby style steam locomotives as she occasionally watches Thomas The Tank Engine!  We then enjoyed some sandwiches and cake before heading back to my mom and dad's.

I have a few birthday's coming up in March and so have had to make some extra cards.  I used the lovely sketch over on this weeks Sunday Sketch and Stamp and have used one of my neglected Hanglar images as the Lovely Haenglar Only Challenge is back up and running with a theme of Anything Goes.

I coloured my Hanglar image in with promarkers and cut out with my oval nestie.  The cardstock is Sage Shadow from Stampin Up and the dp is a selection from Memory Box Minuet paper collection.  The light aqua roses are from wildorchidcrafts and the darker roses are Prima mini roses.  I used ribbon from my stash and a sentiment from Forever Friends Pink Parfait die cut message tags mounted onto a punched out extra-large modern label from Stampin Up.  Greeny adhesive gems from Treasures by Shabby Chic.
