What gorgeous weather we have had the last week - lets just hope it lasts through out the weekend.

An update on my dad.  He had a quadruple bypass on Monday and Tuesday he was able to get out of bed into a chair to stop any clotting occuring!  Progress to being 100% will be slow but eventually he will get and hopefully feel better for it.

I have made the above card for one of my friends whose birthday is very soon.  I have used a stamp from Lily of The Valley which I haven't used in ages and coloured in with copics and Sakura Stardust pink and yellow glitter gel pen for the butterflies.  The dp used is what I have left over from  Stampin Up Sweet Always paper pack and used SU Regal Rose cardstock and ribbon.  The sentiment is in a set which I purchased from a friend of mine who was selling some of her crafting stash (not sure what it is called).  The butterfly was from a set called Flying Butterflies and the pink gems from my stash.

I am entering this into Angie's sketch on Sketch and Stash and have used the theme of Spots and Stripes over on Totally Gorjuss.

Some update on my dad - he was allowed to come home last Monday just in case he catches another hospital virus and then hopefully have his heart bypass Monday coming.  He is doing ok but the medication he is on whilst at home is making him very tired.  I am taking Seren to see him tomorrow as she hasn't seen him for 4 weeks and all being well I will be taking him to the Heart and Lung Centre in Wolverhampton for his operation.

I know its only March but I want to get ahead with my Christmas cards so what a better challenge to follow but the Christmas Cards (with Sketches) challenge.

I have used one of my old Magnolia stamps (sorry don't know her name) and coloured her in with promarkers.  Cardstock and ribbon used are all from Stampin Up called Real Red and Always Artichoke.  The dp is a selection from Magnolia Ink.  I used my Nellie Snellen Poinsietta punches for the flowers and added red brads to the centres.  Sentiment is from The Snowman sentiment collection and fancy doily from my stash.

Sorry for not being around much but my dad has been in hospital for a 3rd week after being admitted with a heart attack and is now awaiting a transfer to another hospital where they have a Heart and Lung Centre to receive a heart bypass.  He also had a virus which stopped visitors to his ward for nearly a week.  My mom has visited him every day and evening and hopefully I will be visiting him on Saturday which will be the first time I've seen him since being admitted - what with his virus, me working or having Seren!

Anyway with Mother's Day approaching I have made the following creation for my mom.

I have used one of my neglected Magnolia Tilda stamps (sorry don't know her name) and coloured her in with promarkers.  The cardstock used is from Stampin Up called Pink Passion and the dp is a selection from Tilda Flowergarden Paper Pad.  The sentiment I found in my stamp box which has been punched out with an oval punch and mounted onto a scallop oval both from SU.  Ribbon and pink gems from my stash.  Flowers from wildorchidcrafts.

I am entering this into Sunday Sketch and Stamp, I Love Promarkers which is Anything Goes and My Mum's Craft Shop which is Mum's The Word.
